AHCA/NCAL to Hold Annual Congressional Briefing June 4-5
By Larry Johnson

The American Health Care Association (AHCA) and the National Center for Assisted Living (NCAL) are pleased to invite you to attend the Annual Congressional Briefing.

The Congressional Briefing, held June 4th and 5th, is your chance to find out the latest news and issues impacting long-term care at the national level.  This event will allow you to attend insider briefings that will give you a comprehensive understanding of Congress, network with Members of Congress and their staff from your delegation.  Come and brief them on the challenges of the leadership’s agenda and how it impacts you and your residents.  You will receive advocacy training and network with other long-term care peers.

The Congressional Briefing is your “private pass” to meet with elected officials and influence policy makers about the needs of our most vulnerable and elderly Americans.  Come and discuss concerns and solutions so that we may continue our mission to advance excellence in America’s Long-Term Care Profession.

Registration deadline:  May 13, 2008

More information is available on the AHCA/NCAL website.

We hope that all members will strongly consider attending.  This is our chance to make our individual voices heard to Minnesota elected officials in Washington.  If you are planning to attend, please let us know so we can coordinate congressional visits.

Additional information will follow in upcoming ACTION newsletters.
