September 30 DHS Video Conference on Federal Health Care Reform
By Larry Johnson To help providers and health plans, state agencies and others better understand the Affordable Care Act passed by Congress in March, the Department of Human Services Aging and Adult Services Division and the Minnesota Board on Aging are presenting a video conference on September 30th. The session will provide an overview and update about the Affordable Care Act and changes in Minnesota. Areas to be reviewed include, but are not limited to, insurance risk pools, Medicare supplemental policies, the CLASS Act and changes to Medicare Parts A, B, C and D. This is an informational update session. This session will not provide official health care reform policy and procedures that will be implemented through various divisions of the Minnesota Department of Human Services, Minnesota Department of Commerce and the Minnesota Department of Health. The video conference will be available at multiple sites throughout the state. Participants will gain a basic understanding of the Affordable Care Act, understand how the Affordable Care Act may impact clients in MN, and know where to seek out additional information and assistance regarding health care reform guidance for both them and their clients. Pre registration is required. Go to http://agingtraining.dhs.state.mn.us to register. For more information, contact Larry Johnson at (952) 851-2482. Larry Johnson |
