Description:
Hospice has a responsibility to assure that staff in Long-Term Care and Intermediate Care Facilities with Mental Retardation (ICF/MR) facilities have been oriented to hospice.  This orientation provides the foundation necessary as we care together for hospice patients and their families.  The presenters will review the components of the hospice orientation packet.  In addition, strategies for implementation of the orientation program for facility staff, as well as documentation of staff participation, will be presented.  Our goal is that this hospice orientation tool and process will be adopted by every hospice and facility caring for hospice patients in Minnesota.
