Convention Countdown: More Things You’ll Want to Know
By Cyndi Spencer

Members providing senior housing and assisted living services will find plenty of education sessions of particular interest to them at the Convention this year.  The Convention Registration Book identifies nearly 40 sessions specifically targeted to housing and assisted living managers.  Be sure to review other session descriptions as well, as there will be many other general audience and specific topic presentations that will be pertinent.

The Hyatt Regency is still accepting reservations at the Care Providers of Minnesota room block rate, so if you haven’t made reservations yet, take advantage of this small window to make reservations at our reduced room rates.  You can make reservations online HERE, or call the Hyatt directly at 612-370-1234.

Are you looking for a special way to celebrate your staff and spend time with colleagues and friends during the Convention?  Celebration of Caring dinner tickets are still available.  This special event on Tuesday, November 16 pays tribute to all of our members for the excellent care and services provided to Minnesota’s older adults in nursing facilities, senior housing, and assisted living facilities, as well as through home care services.  Special recognition will be paid to award recipients and finalists, including those in the following categories:  Champion, Dare to Be Great, Distinguished Service, Employee of the Year, Leadership, Rising Star, Superstar, James B. Swanson, Public Official, Member of the Year, Chairperson’s Choice, and Lifetime Achievement.  Tickets can be ordered by calling Joe Cavanaugh at 952-851-2493 or by sending an email to jcavanau@careproviders.org.

Have you registered for this year’s Convention?  Paying a single registration fee for as many of your staff as you’d like to have in attendance makes this the best education value you’ll find.  Add to that a full Expo Hall and plenty of opportunities for informal networking and learning, and you’ll want to make every effort to join us this year.  We’re looking forward to seeing you.  You can start the registration process by clicking HERE.
