As previously reported, The Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) has announced that it will sponsor three statewide telephone conference calls during 2011 on implementation of nursing home regulatory guidelines and general survey updates.

It is anticipated that MDH will also be adding a similar series of calls focusing on Home Care survey issues, but these have not yet been announced.

These free calls frequently provide the “latest and greatest” updates regarding nursing facility survey trends and patterns. It is strongly suggested that management teams listen in on the calls, but participation by the Administrator, DON, and MDH Coordinator is particularly encouraged.

The 2011 calls are scheduled for:

• Tuesday, January 18, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, March 21, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
• Monday, June 20, 2011, from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.

MDH will be placing an agenda for each call on their website no later than the Friday prior to each of these calls. Providers must register online to participate in each call. Registration closes at the end of the working day prior to each call. Registration is now available for each of the calls online at http://www.health.state.mn.us/registration/nocharge/. The call-in number and password will be provided via a return email after registration has been completed.
