AHCA Uses Social Media for State of the Union Address
By Lisa Foss Olson

The State of the Union is just around the corner. In light of this annual occasion, AHCA/NCAL has launched an informational series on the State of Long-Term and Post-Acute Care leading up to President Obama’s address on Tuesday, January 25, 2011.

The series includes one-pagers and daily blog posts featuring national highlights in the areas of long-term and post-acute care, including quality, work force, post-acute care, assisted living, and reimbursement.

What are your thoughts on the “State of Long-Term and Post-Acute Care” in your state and/or at your facility? Is there something specific that you think President Obama should address in his State of the Union speech? What workforce challenges do you foresee for 2011? What will you do to deliver quality care? AHCA wants to hear from you. Send your thoughts and throughout the week, they will promote them on the AHCA website, blog, social media channels or other publications. Here’s how:

Send your comments via email, Twitter, Facebook or even YouTube.

  • For those of you on Twitter, you can tweet your comment with using the hashtag #ltcstate.
  • You can also post on AHCA’s Facebook wall.
  • Upload a short video clip on YouTube and tag it with the keyword “ltcstate”
  • Email your comments to amendoza@ahca.org.
  • Or comment directly via AHCA’s daily blog posts.

Your input is important, so share it!
