Registration is now open for Facilitating Payments: From Admissions to Collections, a popular annual seminar to be presented by Care Providers of Minnesota. The seminar, scheduled for February 23, will provide attendees – nursing home, assisted living, and senior housing management, business office staff, case managers, and admission coordinators – with critical information on who the payers are, how the payment systems work, and how they are changing.

Presenters bringing extensive payment experience, legal expertise, and state agency insight will be joined by a panel of invited health plan representatives during this full-day program. How provider partners are selected, service expectations from payers, policies for admissions/discharges and issues that might prevent timely payment for services are among the issues that will be discussed. Topics also include: available state payment programs, collection issues and solutions, financial exploitation, verifying payers, pay sources other than the state, and bed holds.
