My InnerView Update for 2011 Contract
By Patti Cullen, CAE

On January 17, representatives of My InnerView (MIV) came to the Association office to meet with staff and members of the LTC Imperative to talk about changes to the MIV product and begin work on a contract for 2011. This new contract will be the first negotiated with MIV since it was acquired by National Research Corporation, based out of Nebraska. As background, the two long-term care Associations in Minnesota, under the banner of the Long-Term Care Imperative, jointly signed a contract with My InnerView in order to negotiate a very favorable rate for our members interested in their customer and employee satisfaction surveys; and the quality profile data.

Last summer we met with representatives from this new company soon after the acquisition to discuss some of the initial concerns we had with the transition, and to encourage them to offer a menu of options for their customers. At that time they first introduced a new "subscription" service where enrollees can access services and “real time” surveys in addition to the quality profile and annual satisfaction surveys, such as targeted surveys for specific issues, surveys specific to the short-stay population, and surveys for new hires and new residents.

Although the contract between the Associations and My InnerView technically expired at the end of 2010, until a 2011 contract is agreed to between the Imperative and MIV, those members who paid dues to MIV for 2010 will continue to be active members in the MIV system. Our plan is to finalize this agreement within the next month. We are currently waiting for MIV’s proposal — a menu of options and pricing for the 2011 contract, covering the quality profile, annual satisfaction surveys, and new subscription services.
