Nursing Facilities May Now Submit Census Data Collected for the Transition to the MN RUG-IV on January 1, 2012
By Todd Bergstrom Nursing facilities are now able to submit their 2011 transition report for the January 1, 2012 transition to the MN RUG-IV to Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) Nursing Facility Provider Portal. In order to calculate revenue-neutral conversion rates, it is necessary for providers to collect (and then submit) census data by payor source for the 6-month time period beginning on January 1, 2011 and ending June 30, 2011, under both the RUG-III and RUG-IV class systems. To access the Nursing Facility Provider Portal go to https://nfportal.dhs.state.mn.us/PortalLogin.aspx?ReturnUrl=%2fDefault.aspx.
