Many Hands Make Light Work: We Are Looking for Convention Hosts!
By Cyndi Spencer

We are looking for hosts for many of the more than 100 breakout and keynote sessions that will be presented at this year’s Convention, so if you’ll be attending the Convention, please consider volunteering for a session or two. It is an excellent opportunity to become more visibly active in the Association and a great way for members to meet you.

An easy way to start: As you are completing your breakout session attendance sheet and deciding which sessions you will be attending, consider hosting one or two of them. You’ll be there anyway, and hosting does not take away from your learning experience. We’ll give you the simple instructions and materials you need to make the experience fun and stress-free. Briefly, hosts greet and introduce (from a short script) the session presenter(s), distribute and collect materials, and in general ensure that the session runs smoothly. Hosts are supported by Care Providers of Minnesota staff members, who are available just outside session rooms to trouble-shoot and help with any questions, technical issues, or presenter needs. (Uncomfortable with speaking in public? We need several keynote session hosts, who do not have any speaking responsibilities.)

More information and the hosting form can be viewed here.
