DHS Releases Bulletin: 2011 Legislative Changes to Customized Living and 24 Hour Customized Living Services — Elderly Waiver
By Phil Manz On Thursday, October 25, 2011, the Minnesota Department of Human Services (DHS) released the bulletin, “2011 Legislative Changes to Customized Living and 24 Hour Customized Living Services — Elderly Waiver (#11-25-05).” According to DHS, this bulletin describes 2011 legislative changes to Minnesota Statutes, section 256B.0915, subdivisions 3e and 3h governing the Elderly Waiver (EW) program that affect customized living (CL) provider rates, as well as service criteria for 24-hour customized living (24CL) service and certain provider practices. The bulletin also provides a summary of the effective dates of implementation of various changes outlined in the bulletin. The specific 2011 changes addressed by the bulletin include:
