Some Special Convention Highlights
By Cyndi Spencer

In addition to keynotes, 100+ education sessions, the expo hall, the Annual Meeting, and myriad other important Convention activities, there are some special “extra” events that will be the icing on the cake for this year’s Convention. Here are a few you can look forward to:

The Mouldy Figs (Yes, you read that correctly!)
The doors to the ballroom will open at 9:45 a.m. on Monday, November 14 so you can enjoy an eye-opening, toe-tapping welcome by Minnesota’s own Mouldy Figs. The crowd-pleasing favorites will have you singing along as we open this year’s Convention.

Coffee Welcomes ... Every Morning!
Does a cup of coffee start your day? The Hyatt Regency is sponsoring a Coffee Welcome all three days of the Convention. And even if you’re not a coffee drinker, we invite you join us and collect with colleagues and friends before starting your day. If this will be your first year at the Convention, stop by the First Time Attendees table to get the “scoop” on making your Convention experience the best it can be!

The All-Star Jug Band
We’re delighted to be welcoming members of the Good Samaritan Society – University Specialty Center, Good Samaritan Society – Stillwater, and Ebenezer Care Center jug bands to the Convention. Performing as an All-Star Jug Band, they will be the featured entertainment during the Employee Appreciation Day Expo Hall Refreshment Break, Tuesday, November 15 from 3:00–3:45 p.m.

Stacy K
This year’s Celebration of Caring dinner will feature the lovely acoustic folk music of the talented Stacy K. We hope you’re planning to join us on Tuesday, November 15 for a delightful evening.

There is still time to register for the 2011 Convention & Exposition! You can start the process easily online here.

Looking for a Few Good Hosts!
If you’re already registered for Convention, we are still looking for hosts for a number of sessions. Can you help? Hosting is easy and fun! Find more information here!
