Influenza-related information for week three of 2012 (January 15–21) includes:

• Three people were hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed influenza during week three. Since the start of the season, 45 persons have been hospitalized with laboratory-confirmed influenza.
• No deaths were identified during week three. Since the start of the season, three influenza-related death have been reported.
• No long-term care facilities (defined as skilled nursing facilities) reported confirmed outbreaks of influenza during week three. Since the start of the season, two outbreaks of influenza have been reported.
