Calling all assisted living nurses!
By Jill Schewe

You know how it is as a nurse, you read the home care rules, and sort of understand what you need to accomplish, but then are stumped on how to actually put it into practice in a meaningful, accurate and productive way. Or, you’ve thought how great it would be if you could just talk with another RN like you for a little extra support to confirm and/or validate you’re in compliance with the rules and regulations you’re responsible for.

Good news — this year Care Providers of Minnesota is creating a new work group just for you! The Assisted Living Home Care Nursing Manager Council serves as the primary group to identify, in a collaborative manner, the issues and concerns affecting home care within our housing members. This council works through the Housing and Community-Based Services Cabinet to identify, develop and forward recommendations regarding home care for action to the Board of Directors.

Our first meeting is set for Wednesday, Feb. 13 from 9–11:00 AM in the Care Providers of Minnesota conference room. We would love for you to join us for this new group! Please RSVP to Jill Schewe at jschewe@careproviders.org or call 952-851-2484 if you have more questions.
